The first song on my IPod during our Rainier hikes this weekend was Climb Every Mountain, (just prior to Katy Perry). Life can change in a minute. As most of you know, last weekend Margaret Anderson, a park ranger on Rainier, was fatally shot in a senseless attack. I did not know Margaret but from what I read her relatives said she was living her dream. She was only 34 years old. I thought about her continuously while hiking. She is an inspiration. During our time on earth, I hope we can all say we lived our dream.
Tonight, we attended the community vigil in her honor; our thoughts are with Margaret’s family.
